The Nomina Rosae Foundation gathers its own collection of antique photos that for us is not only a source of historical knowledge about people, for example prominent persons connected to Nowy Sącz or the history of Galicia, but also as a source of knowledge about the history of fashion of the late 19th and early 20th centurySome of the photographs from our collections, connected mainly with the photo ateliers in Nowy Sącz made up the exhibition „People of Nowy Sącz in Old Photographs”, that we presented in our House of History from July to the end of September 2019. Our collection – slowly but steadily – grows. It is possible also thanks to the support of our donors and patrons. We encourage all of you to help us expand the Foundation’s collection, whether by donating the antique photos to our collection or by financial support, that will allow us to buy more photographs that we sometimes are able to find for sale from antique dealers or collectors. We are immensely grateful to everyone who helped us expand our collections even a little!
Surely in the future we will keep using the photographs we habe as the sources of knowledge and we will share them with people interested during exhibitions, lectures or educational programmes.
