This school year sees the pilotage of the educational project by the of the Marshal’s Office of the Lesser Poland Voivodship under the name “Darkness Shrouds the Earth”.

The idea of the project is to support the education of teachers and students of schools in Małopolska to broaden their knowledge of the Holocaust and the activities of Poles that have been awarded the title of the Righteous Among the Nations. The project will include conferences, study trip and workshops for the teachers, as well as classes and study trip for students accompanied by the teachers. The project’s aim is also to encourage teachers and their students to work in their schools and places they live in.

The project has been taken under the honorary patronage of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship’s Marshal Jacek Krupa and
by the “POLIN” Museum of the History of Polish Jews. The project is coordinated by the Voivodship
Pedagogical Library in Nowy Sącz
