| On Oct15,201813th Labyrinth of History focuses on Polish paths to freedom and concepts of the re-born state. It will bring back the life stories of well-deserved citizens of Nowy Sącz and symbols important for every Pole. We use the 100th anniversary of the regained independence as a reason to talk about history, but also to reflect upon the future of our country and its place in the world.

| On Oct09,2018From September 24th to February 28th in the House of History a new exhibition will be available: “Everyday life under occupation. Nowy Sącz 1939–1945”. The exhibition was created thanks to patronage of Mr Charles Merrill, which enabled us the access to additional rooms and preparation of the exhibition.

Within the programme lectures and conference by students, teachers and researchers are planned. In the Labyrinth we will also have artistic events – “Kinga” play performed by Storia Theatre and a historical fashion show.

On February 7th we invite for a special evening – we will present “Spring”, a short movie based on the prose of Bruno Schulza, and after that the “Hindełe” play performed by the Nomina Rosae Theatre. Both events will take place in the MCK SOKÓŁ.

At the end of April 1942 400 people of Nowy Sącz ghetto were murdered. April 29th and 30th, 1942 are some of the most tragic days i the history of our city. The victims were chosen based on a list of pre-war Jewish library readers.
