BalkanArtz is a musical project inspired by Romanian, Balkan, Hungarian and Gypsy music.
It was created in 2015 by mixing musical fascinations and experiences of Olga, Adam, Marcin and Nikolay. Thanks to variety of their interests, BalkanArtz concerts mix elements of folk music with rock’n’roll, darbuka converses with bass guitar and sevdalinkas sound together with songs from Romania.

Second part of the band’s name is a reference to the Hungarian word “Arc”, which means “face” – and so BalkanArtz, combining traditional sounds with contemporary arrangements presents their listeners with the new face of Balkan music.
