House of History

Dom Historii

It’s a “museum” of the Foundation.  We’ve opened it in 2015 in the buildings of Evangelical-Augsburg parish in Nowy Sącz, part of a listed building complex formerly of Franciskan order – one of the oldest architectural landmarks of the city.

„House of History” is a space, where meeting with history let’s you both learn and enjoy yourself. Here we organize temporary exhibitions, theatrical plays, shows, lectures and workshops. Until now we have presented several exhibitions here, incl. „Early Fashion Charm” and „Winter Fairy-Tales” – prepared for the youngest audience – as well as „Everyday Life under occupation. Nowy Sącz 1939–1945”, which told a touching story about the citizens of the city during the terrible German occupation and also the „Saved from conflagration” and „Fashions” exhibtions

House of History also hosts letures and meetngs organized within the Shtetl of Tsanz programme, the “Stories of Sącz” lecture series, Nomina’s meetings with poetry and other events that we will inform you about here, on our Facebook page and through the Newsletter!
