Model lessons in schools. Nowy Sącz, Gorlice, Trzetrzewina.
| On Sep05,2018In the last two weeks last of the eight model lessons were given in selected schools of the region.
hey were – respectively – 9th Junior High in Nowy Sącz (5/18/2015), 2nd High School in Gorlice (5/19/2015), 5th Junior High in Nowy Sącz (5/20/2015), Junior High in Trzetrzewina (5/22/2015) and Bolesław Chrobry Academic High (5/22/2015).
Lessons are taught by mgr Łukasz Połomski, a teacher and historian from Nowy Sącz, whose main scientific interests are the history of Nowy Sącz of the Galician Autonomy period and of the interwar period and the culture of German, Romany and Jewish minorities. He is also an originator and director of the Shtetl of Tsanz programme within the Nomina Rosae Foundation and one of the main originators of the “Young Ambassadors of Tolerance” project.
We hope that lessons in selected schools will encourage young people to apply to join the programme – the enrollment is open for youths from secondary and post-secondary schools of Nowy Sącz and neighbouring towns and villages. Details concerning the programme and the recruitment form can be found at the Foundation’s website in the Education/Young Ambassadors of Tolerance tab
