Nomina Rosae Foundation – the Shtetl of Tsanz, Voivodeship Pedagogical Library in Nowy Sącz and MCK Sokół cordially invite for a meeting organized as a part of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, that will take place on January 26th, 2018 (friday) at 10.30 in the MCK Sokół in Nowy Sącz, 1 Długosza str, R. Sichrawa auditory

International Holocaust Remembrance Day was chosen at the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp, the biggest center of genocide in the history of humanity. Almost 1.1 milion people died there. Not all victims of the Holocaust died in the camps. Many victims of the Holocaust don’t even have their own graves and their memory survives as long as it is relayed by people, commemoration sites and institutions.

On January 27, 12:00 Shtetl of Tsanz invites everyone from the city and the region to light candles together at the plaque on the synagogue in Nowy Sącz. The plaque commemorates all of the Victims of the Holocaust At this day let’s also visit the municipal cemetery at Rejtana str., where a symbolic grave of the people of Nowy Sącz, who died at KL Auchwitz is located.
