On February 16th, Friday at 10:00 we invite you to the Town Hall of Nowy Sącz
We will witness an important moment – Mr Józef Jarosz, Righteous among the Nations will be awarded with Polonia Restituta Cross. This high decoration will be given to our Honorary Ambassador by Lesser Poland Voivode, Józef Gawron. The Cross was awarded by decision of the President Andrzej Duda for “a heroic attitude and great bravery presented in saving the life of Jewish people during the World War II for exceptional merit in defending dignity, humanity and human rights”. During the World War II the family of Józef Jarosz harbored 14 people of Jewish origin.
