“Fairy-tale kingdom” in Limanowa
| On Oct08,2018Long, long time ago… or Far, far away… many fairy-tales begin like this, but this time we will begin differently, because not that long ago and not that far away – on June 3rd, 2018 on Sunday afternoon at 12:00 in the Regional Museum of Limanowa Land a wondrous exhibition entitled “Fairy-tale kingdom”, prepared by the Nomina Rosae Foundation, will be opened.
The exhibition for the Children Day will present a collection of fairy-tales and children stories from all around the world and costumes created in the Maymerlin atelier. The exhibition will allow children to experience their first meeting with the fairy-tale world hidden on the book pages an on colorful illustrations. “Fairy-tale kingdom” allows to travel to the enchanted world, where everything can happen – where chests hide amazing treasures, the seas are fared by dangeours pirates, the winter is reigned by a Queen with heart of ice, the land behind the rabbit-hole is inhabited by a mad hatter and deep in the forest evil Baba Yaga lives in a sugar-frosted hut.
Despite the exhibition being prepared mainly for children, the adults will also be able to set on a memory trup to the time of chidren plays and adventures, where a dragon could be lurking behind every tree, and a stick could be a brave knight’s sword. Additional attraction of the opening on Sunday will be free hourly screenings of stories on an old “ANIA” slide projector, that will allow children to learn the method their parents and grandparents viewed the fairy-tales with in their childhood and to see the adventures of a Scoundrel Flea created by Jan Brzechwa.
We invite all children and adults to experience an amazing adventure in the “Fairy-tale kingdom” in the Regional Museum of Limanowa Land at 13 Józefa Marka str. in Limanowa.
The exhibition will be free from June 3rd to 30th, 2018 for children, especially from kindergarteners and students of primary school 1–3 classes and their guardians. During the period of the exhibition, i.e. June 3rd to 15th August we propose screenings of chosen Polish fairy-tales slideshows using an antique projector for organized groups.
