The Early Fashion Charm Exhibition in Krosno!
| On Oct09,2018On 30th and 31st July we cordially invite you to the Piwnica Pod Cieniami of the Crafts Museum in Krosno, where our exhibition Early Fashion Charm will be available – with garments from medieval to 19th-century!
We invite you to the Early Fashion Charm exhibition, where we present recreated early garments from the Nomina Rosae Atelier. At the exposition we can see the courtly ensembles from the Middle Ages, rich Renaissance Italian dresses, women’s clothing from the 17th and 18th centuries and creations of the 19th century women’s fashion, as well as Polish national fashion called the kontusz ensemble.
Early fashion is a never-ending source of delight, often of wonderment, but also of knowledge about humans and their culture. The Early Fashion Charm exhibition is a story about garments history, illustrated by recreated garments and costumes made in the Nomina Rosae Atelier. The Nomina Rosae Foundation is active for almost 15 years and one of its main fields of interest always was the history of fashion. In the atelier we both recreate historical garments and create costumes that become parts of permanent or temporary exhibitions or are used for educational events in both Polish and foreign museums (incl. National Museum in Kraków, Castle Museum in Malbork, Silesian Piasts’ Museum in Brzeg, Museum of Polish History in Warsaw, Historical Museum of the City of Kraków, Museum in Levoca, Slovakia). Our costumes are also made for theatres and movies.
The “Early Fashion Charm” exhibition inaugurated the work of Nowy Sącz House of History in August 2015 and was vry popular among visitors who had pportunity to see it from August to October 2015.
This time the exhibition will be presented in the Piwnica Pod Cieniami of the Crafts Museum in Krosno at 5 Rynek square on 30–31.07.2016.
