On 12–18 May in our House of History and in other corners of Nowy Sącz the 1st B.Barbacki Plein Air Painting Meeting will be held by the Nomina Rosae Foundation and artist painter Krzysztofem Kargolem with the VIA group
For a whole week in May at our House of History at 21 Pijarska str. in Nowy Sącz and in other corners of the city, the first of meetings will be held. The idea for this plein air event was conceived together by our Foundation and Krzysztof Kargol, artist painter, whom we had a chance to meet while working on “The Polish Portrait” movie — thus the 1st B.Barbacki Plein Air Painting Meeting in Nowy Sącz was born. In these seven day Krzysztof Kargol and artists connected with the VIA group, that he invitedwill portray the models wearing the dresses from the Nomina Rosae atelier.
VIA (Free Artistic Initiative) is a group created on 15 September 2018 by Malwina Dzwonkowska, Krzysztof Kargol and Mariusz Komorowski. It’s a result of several joint plein air events and many hours spent painting together, travelling and talking. The group shares a passion for landscape and plein air painting.
On the last day of the week, 18 May, we invite everyone from 6 to 11 PM to visit the House of History for a Long Night of Painting, where you’ll be able to see artists at work, beautiful models sitting for them and paitnings of the plein air event participants and also meet them in person, talk to them and even buy or order their pieces.
