Ewa Harsdorf – Stories of Sącz Women
| On Sep27,2019On Thursday, 10th October at 18.00we invite you to our House of History ( Pijarska 21, Nowy Sącz) for a second event in our newest series „Stories of Sącz women” – a lecture about Ewa Harsdorf will be given by Mrs Anna Totoń.
We want to remind the Sącz audience about the very active life of Ewa Harsdorf – a scoutmistress, painter as well as drawing and practical activities teacher in schools of Kraków and Nowy Sącz. Our heroine was also involved in war-time underground movement as a member of the “Orzeł Biały” (“White Eagle”), Home Army courier and member of the Central Welfare Council. After world war II she was an art instructor of cultural institutions of Nowy Sącz for 26 years.
We will hear about Ewa Harsdrof in the House of History form Anna Totoń, a local history researcher and expert.
In our new series “Stories of Sącz women” we want to present the incredible women who, in different ways, became part of the history of Nowy Sącz and the region. The talk in October will be the second and most probably not the last event of the series in 2019. We hope that you will join us in all of them!
