75th Biegonice execution anniversary – lecture at the House of History

On November 11th, on the Independence Day we invite you at 17:00 to the House of History at 21 Pijarska str for the lecture by Mrs Anna Totoń, a local history expert who will be talking about the victims of Biegonice execution (August 21st, 1941), during which also Bolesław Barbacki artist painter and social activist, who served the city in many ways, was killed.

The exhibition was created thanks to patronage of Mr Charles Merrill, which enabled us the access to additional rooms and preparation of the exhibition.

At the end of April 1942 400 people of Nowy Sącz ghetto were murdered. April 29th and 30th, 1942 are some of the most tragic days i the history of our city. The victims were chosen based on a list of pre-war Jewish library readers.
