How many myths and legends are there in it and how many facts and truths? Are there events, that still wait to be discovered? We invite you for the book promotion of “Łemkowszczyzna. Time of war and peace” and a meeting with its author, Stanisław Kryciński. The talk will be hosted by Łukasz Połomski. After the meeting the books will be available at discounted price. We meet on Thursday, January 18th at 18:00 in the House of History. The event inaugurates the “Shtetl Cheder” series, in which all year we will promote selected books about topics related to our activities. Come, join us!

On April 3rd, we invite you to MCK SOKÓŁ for the 3rd Shtetl Cheder. At 17:00 in Sichrawa Auditorium we meet with Agnieszka Traczewska, who will tell us about her latest album “Returns”, about the stories of chasidim pilgrimages… An important topic in our town! The talk will be hosted by dr Łukasz Połomski, director of the Shtetl of Tsanz. The book will be available for purchase for 120 zł.

On August 23rd, 1942 the Germans started the Nowy Sącz ghetto liquidation. 16 thousand of the citizens of our city were brutally murdered in the death camp in Bełżec. On the 76th anniversary of these events we will remember.
