We invite you for the book promotion of “Łemkowszczyzna. Time of war and peace” and a meeting with its author, Stanisław Kryciński. The talk will be hosted by Łukasz Połomski. After the meeting the books will be available at discounted price. We meet on Thursday, January 18th at 18:00 in the House of History. The event inaugurates the “Shtetl Cheder” series, in which all year we will promote selected books about topics related to our activities. Come, join us!

On April 3rd, we invite you to MCK SOKÓŁ for the 3rd Shtetl Cheder. At 17:00 in Sichrawa Auditorium we meet with Agnieszka Traczewska, who will tell us about her latest album “Returns”, about the stories of chasidim pilgrimages… An important topic in our town! The talk will be hosted by dr Łukasz Połomski, director of the Shtetl of Tsanz. The book will be available for purchase for 120 zł.

His „War dreams” is a book, inspired by true events, about a woman who suspects her father was a war criminal Heinrich Nordmann (the character is based on Heinrich Hamann, the director of border commissariat of Security Police in Nowy Sącz in years 1939–1943, and after that until January 1945 he was the chief of gestapo in Kraków)”.

On March 15, 2018 r. at 18:00 we invite you to the House of History (21 Pijarska str.). The Shtetl Cheder will host Mr Tadeusz Bystrzak, who will tell us about Teodor Talowski. An exceptional architect from Galicia, who was connected with our city too. We meet to promote Mr Bystrzak’s book entitled „Talowski”.
