Dawni sądeczanie, dawne fotografie
The exhibition presents the unique, mysterious atmosphere of old photographs and through them also the old Nowy Sącz of the break of 19th and 20th centuries. Here you can see original photographs from late 19th and early 20th century from the Nomina Rosae Foundation collection, from private collections and from collections of J. Szujski Public Library in Nowy Sącz.
In the photographs many citizens of Nowy Sącz of the times gone remain anonymous, but our collection holds images of people well-known like mayor Onufry Trembecki, Stanisław Flis, general Józef Kustroń, dr Tadeusz Kijas owner of the beautiful villa Marya or the Kosterkiewicz family. The exhibition will also present their interesting biographies.
The exhibition is available in the House of History at 21 Pijarska st. in Nowy Sącz.
Opening hours: Wednesday–Saturday, 11.00–16.00
