Bruno Schulz’s Spring in our interpretation
| On Sep05,2018As a part of “The pulse of life” series, dedicated to the cycle of life in the Jewish culture, that we have helped create in 2015 together with the Stowarzyszenie Profesjonalnego Samorzadu from Nowy Sącz a film material inspired by Bruno Schultz’s prose was created. Our protagonist is a young author, that suffers from writer’s block…
Unexpectedly he notices a peculiar silhouette, that seems to be personified nature. Following her, he goes on a weird, oneiric journey into the land of the dead. This land is at the same time a metaphor for the foundations of civilization, the storage for narratives, that wish to be reborn back into life. Production of the film – directed by Barbara Szewczyk, shot by Przemysław Brynkiewicz – was actively supported by three of the Ambassadors of Tolerance – Karolina Kowalczyk, Agnieszka Górka and Arbresha Goranci.
